Well i love Forza 3, im tempted to buy the MS wireless steering wheel but at approx £70 its still an expensive bit of kit in my eyes. Is it generally accepted that the wheel would enhance my gaming experience or is it just a bit of fancy over rated kit and should i stick to my pad? Views? Cheers ;)

I've always played racers with controllers, bought Forza 3 as did my mate, but he also bought the Microsoft steering wheel. Basically, the wheel makes the game much harder, rewarding and generally more fun. When you get used to it (especially manual gears) it really is very satisfying.

Only thing I would say is make sure you have a decent stand/setup to put the wheel and pedals on. If its too low/high its going to get awkward after a few laps :p

I bought the wheel and got rid of it. It's nice, but I found it too hard to be really good with it, and it was such a faff setting it up every time I wanted to play a racing game.

I've bought the wheel for forza and used it once, but that's purely because i haven't got anywhere to fix it sturdy, and the pedals really let it down, the wheel itself i really good, great feedback etc, but the pedals just don't cut it. I do intend on getting a stand for it eventually as i would like to use it.

Also, another reason i haven't used itis because i've not put CoD MW2 down since i bought it on release day :p

If you like playing without assists a wheel is the way to go. Pad steering is assisted. An RC car spring on the brake pedal helps stiffen it up a bit.

I bought a logitech Drive fx 360 wheel and really liked it, the only reason i dont use it so often is because i have to set it all up.

I was thinking of putting it on MM to be honest.

It's a totally different, but more rewarding experience if you can embrace the learning curve and perservere with it enough to start enjoying it.

I'd recommend the official MS wheel all day long. It's great playing it with all the assists off and manual gears.

its a shame the pedals are so rusbish, got a couple of g25's at home so been thinking about selling 1 set and using the pedals from the other with the fanatec wheel :)

cant justify the cost tho :(

I was going to buy the official MS one....i cant find one anywhere other than ebay though :(

Overclockers had it 10+ instock not so long ago but they are out of stock now i highly reccomend you get one though if you can find one its well worth it just for forza 3 imo.

Found the MS wheel to be quite good, takes a lot of getting used to though. After a few hours i was setting lap times about 1 second behind my pad times. Not had a chance to get much more practice on it.
