Steering wheel + game

im thinking of buying Logitech G27, now ive never bought a steering wheel for the pc so i wouldnt know what im getting myself into, is the g27 worth the money ?

and also im looking at a couple of games, which games are good with a steering wheel ?

Most of the sims are brilliant with the steering wheel. Can't say much about the G27 as i use a DF GT.

Some games to consider are

Iracing
Live for speed
rfactor
Race 07

but i have a big urge to get a F1 game

any tbh, games like TDU, F1, PGR, Forza

played all them on consoles, not sure how they play on a pc though, thats why i need a little bit of advice

well then dirt 2, need for speed shift and blur are good games

TDU works well with G series wheels along with any simulation game. F1 2010 is just around the corner so I would wait for that

i got the G25 when it was released i got GTR2 rFactor and GTL.

if you are going to spend that much money u have to play sims as far as im concered.

and get yourself in a racing league. this will make sure you clock up some milage for you wheel.

i run the G25/27 owners club and the only thing i would say about the G25 is that the sequential gear shift is a bit tempermental and the 27 doesnt have a sequential gear stick, only the H-box but it is better made.

plus logitech have great customer service

If you can't afford a G27 and perfer new, take a look at the DFGT okay fine it has no clutch pedal and only has seq shifter rather than H gate

but its still a fantaic wheel

oh and logitech changed it a bit so the brake pedal now has resistance

Make sure you buy a wheel that is decent size. tiny wheels = soul destroying.

Iv been into racing sims since rFactor came out.. 5-6 weeks ago iv had a g27 and iv loved it. Now the only 3 games i play are rFactor, Race 07 (with all the addons) and Live for speed. Sometimes abit of GTR2 but its force feedback aint good. Currently waiting for rfactor 2 and f1 2010.

Im sure most people are in same situation as me.

That's quite interesting, makes me happy I picked it up really cheap from game about a year ago, played it for a bit and quite enjoyed it too.
