Steering wheel stand (possible course project)

Hey guys im still trying to come up with a project for my engineering course and am starting to think a work based one may be out the window so i started thinking about a stand or rig for a logitech g25!

I have one and its growing dust in the cupboard as i have no way of using it as my desk is a bit un practical and have always wanted a stand for it!

So i was just going to use this thread maybe as a bit of research and find out what you all like about a stand you may have, what you dont like about them, and maybe features you may like to see added!

For the project i need to either design a new product, or modify an existing idea so im kind of thinking of going for a foldable stand as a rough outline then add and expand on that to improve on whats already available, maybe try and make it as light as possible without making it too light when it comes to using it!


Any advice or opinions, images of set ups and so on would be greatly appreciated!

This idea is currently a maybe but if i get a good feel from this thread and i can come up with some solutions then it seems like a winner!
