Hello chaps,

Has anyone made their own steering wheel stand?

I'm about to do this for my 360 wheel and was wondering if anyone had already done so and what they came up with?

Haven't made one myself but it's probably best to just get together a load of pics of existing stands and decide what features you like & dislike etc.

Then start designing your own stand using something like Sketchup : http://sketchup.google.com/.

Also, I dunno if they exist but there must be some hardcore racing sim forums, there's probably quite a few people who have made their own stands on those forums ;)

Hope I helped a bit, oh and I didn't reply in your other thread but excellent news on being cancer free :) Shows people that the odds of getting through are very high!

check out the TWIP (the way I play) forums, they have loads of sketch up files done, most of which you can download for yourself, but you'll need to just get rid of the G25 mount (that's what's on most of them) and make it a flat block, as there is no way to hard mount the xbox 360 wheel, unless you want to drill holes in the lap block, but even then you'll have to sort out the uneven surface, so adding a circle underneath the main block to hold the clamp could be a good idea?

I had a look at TWIP this morning but it looked like it was hacked! lol.

Anyway it's back up now so I'll have a browse... thanks for the link!
