Stellar Blade (June 2025)

Played it a lot on the PS5, quite an enjoyable game overall but doesn't live up to the inspiration in terms of story and themes (and music unfortunately, even though Okabe did a lot of it).

The combat shines during bossfights and you can feel it was geared towards one-on-one. It has that air of Sekiro to it, which is a big plus in my book.

What I really appreciate, however, is a smaller company releasing a game this polished with a surprising amount of content and then following it up with free updates. It was super-solid on release, hardly any bugs and great performance.

Definitely worth a playthrough IMO, I even got hooked on finding all the collectibles and costumes but it does get a tad repetitive once you learn the ins and outs of the combat system.

The combat does get a bit repetitive once you've unlocked some OP skills, but it's still satisfying gameplay. Very good game if you like combo fighting, action, boobs, exploring + collecting, upgrades, boobs, sidequests, collectibles, boobs etc. The story is very shallow but it doesn't really spoil the game. Highly recommended by me. It's not in the same league as Nier but it does a good job of filling a gap.

Yeah, you brought up many important arguments I've forgotten so overall 10/10, approved by Neil Druckmann.

They're doing a collab with Nikke as well, they own both games. Nikke is the gacha one they made before Stellar Blade (I'm currently playing/enjoying it).

I rarely pre-order but I'm tempted with this one.

Played on PS5 it's a great game. I'll probably buy again on PC especially if I can up the fidelity and run over 60 fps.

I played this on the PS5 but didn't finish it, I just felt it could do with an FPS boost.

I almost bought a PS5 pro to play it but then found out it was coming to PC so roll on June, can't wait to play it on the PC

I can't wait for this. Might be the game that gets me to finally buy an oled TV as I was going to buy a PS5 to play this and GTA6, but I can wait for GTA and save some money on a PS5 now.

good maximus bazonga simulation but couldn't get in to the game. The BGM is so bad, totally forgetfull elevator trash stuff alway playing. Early level design was just corridor simulator with me too souls like elements
