step up fan controllers?

Are there any fan controllers available with somekind of dc-dc converter so you can run the fans at higher voltages?

I doubt it. The job of a fan controller is generally to reduce speed so it's rather going against the normal purpose of a controller. You could always run another power supply into the case though and hook them up via a simple fan control circuit.

I reckon my 4 pin PWM to 3 pin fan converter would work well at higher voltages. Never tested it though but I do have a couple of 18v and 24v power supplies to check it out.
