Bit of a struggle knowing what to buy him so seeking advice.

He's 49, has diabetes, bipolar and umpteen mental and physical issues. I'm his carer at home.

He has a computer which I built him, which doesn't get used much, I got him a Thrustmaster T150 and £20 steam card for fathers day and now the wheel just gathers dust. Very "annoyed" to put it politely as it cost me a fair bit..

Would another steam card be fine? it seems a bit thoughtless and cheap but his only hobby is drinking, eating sweets and sleeping (sleeping due to illness)

He is a handful and rarely gets up, sleeps till 4pm somedays.

Sorry for dragging it on, I don't know what to do.

He really just sticks to super tenant, usually only 4 cans a week which is good, as he used to drink HEAVY.

He's not into liquor, spirits and that. He's tough to buy for. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I was considering a telescope as I wanted one myself, but again, is it gonna dust..

Some nice stuff for dinner? If toys/games/PC etc are just to gather dust then a decent meal for the pair of you might work out better. :)

There are young kids out there that are the primary carers for their parents. A disturbing number of them go under the radar for support :(.

bottle of good whiskey
two steak bakes
new pillow

he might appear mad, bu the reality is we all want this, he is what we want.

Find something he uses regularly and buy a better version. (tools, etc.)

Most blokes have everything they need/want so no need to reinvent the wheel.

or clothes :)

Find him a hobby to do that gets him out of bed before teatime.

He clearly doesn't like gaming that much so another steam voucher is pointless.

Some hobby that his disabilities can deal with would be helpful, you know what he can and cant do better than us!

^ Thank you for that answer.

Regarding the carer question, have been since 20. I am on benefits etc.

I would be working full time but then he wouldn't really be well, at all. If even here now..
