Hiya,

I have 2 questions if someone knows the answer:

1) I am running an i3 2.93 GHz and its overclocked to 4.2GHz; Its working alright now, CPU temp is only 35 degrees, but sometimes I get blue screen, si there a way to stabilize it? Or should I go down to 4.00GHz?

2) If I try and change my CPU Multiplier I think its locked and I can't change it, in M.I.T in my bios, does anyone know how I unlock it?

Cheers!

You are able to change your CPU multiplier down no problem. You will need to do so in the bios. If you post your motherboard brand and model I would be able to help you more exactly.

That is a pretty good overclock with your CPU by the way. I love the i3 range of CPU's

Hi there,

2) Sounds like you may need some more CPU voltage, what is this currently set to in the BIOS? The best way to test whether an overclock is stable is to run a CPU stress test (like OCCT) for a while.

2) Unfortunately, for that CPU (and most intel CPUs) the maximum multiplier is locked. So you will be able to set the mulitplier to 22 or below (from within the BIOS), but not more than 22.

Here you go, its in my Sig now, but check this link:

Its when I go into the bios and go to the multiplier, its at 22x but It won't let me type a new one.

But if you can see anything that I can stabelise I'd rather keep it at 4.2 ;)

I think when I looked a minute ago it was under 1.5

Yeah I know I love my 530 too.

That was with the GA-H55N-USB3 motherboard the mini ITX one.:D

In the bios you do have the option to change your CPU multi. Give me a few moments to reboot and I will be able to be a tad more specific.

Right nicked this image from bit-tech review of the board. Hope they do not mind:D

Press enter and type the number you want then press enter again - just did that and it changed the mulit.

Or you can change the mulit in the easytune6 application. That works too.

Cheers mate!

I'll give that a try in a minute after I've watched Karl P's an idiot abroad :D

One thing though (but I will try again) i went into that setting and typed but it didnt put a number in, theres just a red bar. I'll have another go.

Nice overclock btw! haha, immense.
