Anyone been to see him on his first stand up tour yet? Me the g/f and some mates went last night and some epic laughs were had. I was initially worried that he wouldn't be able to pull off a gig on his own with Ricky and Karl and although the gags were still very Gervais-esc he still managed to put his own stamp on the night.

Hugely enjoyable gig :)
 
Merchant won a few awards for stand-up before going on to TV, so it's good to see him going back to that. Will have to see if there are any dates left. :)
 
I went to see this last night in Glasgow, it was absolutely superb, one of the funniest shows I have seen, I really wasnt expecting much but it was laugh out loud all the way through.
 
I went to see him on Wednesday night in Liverpool. I don't really know how I was expecting him to be as I've only ever seen him on TV. I was really impressed with him, I thought he was excellent and it was possibly one of the funniest stand up gigs I've ever been to! The play he did at the end with the two people from the audience had me in stitches! :D

I'll definitely look out for his gigs in the future and I hope he carries on doing standup.
