Hi, been offered a AMD 4400 X2 and it has these numbers on the chip, is there a place where you can get info from, or can someone on here let me know if this chip will be any good for overclocking?

its an early one. wont clock too great.

Will top out at 2.75ghz i would say on air/water, thats if you clock it properly. prob take 1.5/1.6v to get it there.

Safe bet is 2.5ghz imo

Numbers in sig... almost matches mine by the looks of it :D

Running at 2640 (240x11 with a 10/9 mem divider) on air at 1.456Vcore. Any more and the voltage starts going up exponentially which makes this the sweet spot for air cooling in my system.

Mine was a preorder and one of the first (infact before many of the xtremesystems guys got theirs :)).

cheers guys, i will probably give this one a miss and go and buy and brand new one. I have been told that the younger the chip the better the overclock.

Cheers for all your help.
