Well, bit of madness really, but gonna step down from my Asus X48 Rampage Formula board as I simply don't use half the features of it, and just got a very cheap P35. My only hope is that maybe I'll be able to clock the E4300 slightly higher (doubt it), and that the PCI-E 1.0a won't detract too much performance from the 5850 I've also just bought.

Thought's really? Am I mad?

yup after you've sold it and payed for shipping you wont be making a great deal so i would say hold on to itunless you want to upgrade platform or move over to a cheap amd quad ?

Already bought the board. A friend could make good use of it still, so not an issue.. just after opinions :-)

well its not to bad off an idea depending on how much money you made back on it as it wouldn't that much more exspensive to change to 1156 platform than it would to move to a 775 quad which rules out keeping the board for any future upgrades

Still considering it as I am hopig to emmigrate to the states, so upgrading later will mean buying a pc out there instead. Although looked at board tonight and not sure i want to let it go lol. will see what the msi is like, although i suspect that is high quality as well.
