Steve Cotterill

The only good bit about him was he was going to take Pompy down @_@

Think he's going to have a rude awakening come Jan that he's just jumping sinking ships (worst man for the Forest job)

Frank clarks backing the fella, a guy i trust.

End of the day we are where we are, as forest fans we're all in it together, we should get behind the players, manager and the club.

Personaly i would have loved to see Mr Roy make a return to the city ground, but that guys heart is in holland, and he's turning it up with ajax... maybe one day he'll come to england.

Steve did ok over the river, i think at the very least he'll keep us up and sort out our defence.

In Frank we trust, we need someone to get our players to actually play to their potential, Cotterill did that at our neighbours when their dressing room was full of egos, they walked the league in the games under him.

It certainly can't get any worse than the inept, passionless McClaren. We've already moved a place in the table without playing :D

Should have kept McClaren, ran the best champ team thats turned up at St. Marys this season (we were lucky to win or even draw).

McClaren was sacked though lack of ambition of the players, the only good ones being Miller and Derbyshire (Camp isn't too bad either for the record), but everyone else content with being a higher payed average champ player. All Cotterill will do will reenforce that and make it a hole lot force for forest.

Worse still pomp might get someone good to save them.

Frank can stick it as well, another liar employed by ND and his cronies

Dont be fooled by the club appointing a 'fan' favourite as the new face... the same old regime is running things.. hence our signing of Ephiram from QPR BEFORE we even got a manager... AND the interview from Clark stating that 40 applications were in, he had to sift through them etc... 3 hours later in comes Cotterill.

Its a joke, the protests will continue until the cancer is removed from our club. Cotterill will get hell and he will deserve it, the man has come to the wrong club and the wrong time.. maybe not his fault, but he will suffer along with the rest of the tumours rotting away inside the CG.

Or results starts going our way again. Fickle bunch these protestors. :D:D:D Very hard to take you guys seriously .

Why would Cotterill get hell? He has taken the job to try and get us playing to the potential we have, he should be praised for coming to this place after that clown McClaren and his team left our dressing room in such a state. He now faces an almost unwinnable task I doubt even Clough could do. The attitude from the players and fans stinks at the moment so he's balls if you ask me.

It has nothign to do with results, its to do with the club being run by incompetence. A club that had very little debt when Doughty took over, that now owes between 60-100m to him depending on which of his 'mouthpieces' you want to believe.

Mark Arthur the liar who spouted out to the press that Pratley and Whittingham were signing for us.... yeah good one. The same man who gave us such lines as 'We are serious about promotion, are you?" when selling season tickets... iirc the year we last went down to league one.

The same people who called us fans 'pond life' as we dared to disagree with them. The same people who only allow Radio Nottingham to cover the club, as they are puppets on a string letting out certain information.

The same owners who lied to McLaren about his 10m budget that mysteriously dropped to around 1m......

Forest are slowly dieing, anyone who cant see that needs to take their fingers out of their ears, stop happy clapping and read about the facts. Dont listen to the radio or how Doughty is the clubs biggest fan.. get into the nitty gritty of it all.

OK ill agree Cotterill is the unlucky man in the middle of this, but are you suggesting that a manager that has won 3 of his last 23 championship games as Portsmouth manager is really that capable of making us better? Its a joke appointment, just as Clark was in an attempt to placate the fans.

Until the cancer is removed we will await our inevitable death.... the fans are already staying away, money is going to stop coming into the club and thats the way we will ahve to fight.

That debt would just be owed to someone else if not him, somebody that would want it back, sure to say if we didn't have that debt we'd be off a whole lot worse because we wouldn't have spent anything on players or wages.

You need to go and pay for a copy of our accounts and see where it is going, mostly on players wagesas I say. You say we should read the facts but I doubt you've seen that information.

McClaren was never promised £10m, you can't pull a factual source for that. even ask the man himself, even so, we nearly spent half that if Verhoek hadn't pulled out, the money was ready to go there.

We are still one of the biggest spenders in this league since we came back into it. You should go check your sources out rather than virile rumour and go and get a copy of the official accounts to see why we owe all this money to our owner. I guess we could become a selling club like Leeds, oh wait! They hate their owner too.

Believe it or not, Doughty was far better than the bloodsucking leeches of Wray/Scholar who had a lot to do with the downfall of this club.

The appointment of McClaren was a terrible appointment and he has turned a squad that should be better than last seasons into relegation fodder and added a trio of useless hasbeens. For that I agree that Doughty should have gone(and heh as), because it was his decision to appoint McClaren.

As soon as we start getting good results this whole thing blows over, mark my words.

I'm oot!

The debt, lets see how that has accrued:

Maybe 12 managers and their payoffs..... that will come into it.
How many other clubs have our income and yet go 70m into debt and achieve.... er nothing but 3 years in League One!

Ive seen the accounts and the wages we pay are silly, but lets not forget Doughtys mates in that... not shy of 1m per for that gaggle of useless idiots.

MaClaren was promised 10m its well known in the right circles and we only spent 'upfront' just shy of 800k - 500k on Greening and 300k on Miller... yes the latters deal could go over 1m if triggers are met. Verhoek... homesick and broken promises... yes he would have earned more here than at ADO, but the deal was not 2.5m in the bank for ADO plus we reneged on what he was to get... his contract was backloaded assuming Premier League football.

Lets not compare our situation to others, Forest fans and income is substantial and thus we should be able to compete at the top end. The losses are staggering and inflated, I have no doubts that this club has been mismanaged at all levels during Doughtys tenure. And although he is better than Wray... the club should have gone to Sandy Anderson and not Doughty and his underhand tactics.

Steve wasnt such a bad appointment, he was lied to and on that basis it was always going to fail. He ended up signing players that he had to as there were no alternatives, but im glad he has gone.

Doughty hasnt gone, he has stepped aside... dont doubt his involvement, it wont be financial but he is firstly refusing to sell for 25m and is wanting more... yeah real fan there, written off his debts as promised.. NOT. 2nd he got Clark in and was involved in his remit... ND wont ever keep out of it.

I also agree that apathy will reign in again, but thats because most of the fans are idiots just happy to have a club and games in the middle of League One against Morecambe would be exciting for them.

So is it just new manager syndrome that's helped him win two pretty tough games on the trot? Because I have to admit I thought he would be a terrible failure.

1 - Steve Mac - awful manager, didnt have the dressing room and results were always going to be dire... anyone with half a brain cell could get that team winning.

2 - As above still a decent squad to work with, any manager who gets them to play a normal game will get wins... after all that team had made the playoffs 2 years in a row.

Same problems exist though, ND, MA and the bull about finances still strong.

The cancer remains.

It could be honeymoon period but our squad is a good squad, better than most in the league so it should really have been playing better, McClaren was awful.

At least now we know we don't really have anything to spend any more. We did spend a decent bit in the summer but it sounds like the goalposts moved some time over the course of the window.

Rather be in our position than Leicester's to be honest, they are in deep trouble if they don't go up and had to gamble on getting rid on Sven in the hope it gets them playing. They've spent 20m and have 5 more points than us.
