Just fitted in the Forester...

JDM Sti Genome Gauges (Defi's) in a Zerosports Pod - Cost one upper and one lower appendage, second hand, shipped from Japan.

Don't know - I'd have to ask Triton Motorsports

Approx an hour per gauge to fit including the sensors etc..

Most people would agree Defi's are prob one of the best gauges you can get - paid top money as they are Kosher Sti JDM ones but I wanted the real deal. Whether that's money well spent or not is a matter of personal choice I guess

That box is the Defi Link controller where you can set the warning lights, record/replay, view peaks etc etc..

I welcome the mod but don't think it goes far enough, you need a gauge that accurately measures how much water in on your windscreen...

You may joke, but oil starvation will kill an engine rather quickly..

If you're losing oil fast enough to require a gauge I think you have greater problems to worry about. That or you're driving James Bond's car.

especially on a modern car would be very rare for any catastrophic failure. I know my Focus ST170 had a oil pressure/temp gauge which was a gimic over function.

Its not so much losing the oil, its where the oil is.

I guess for oil pressure it's prob ott but for oil temp at least I know when it's safe to try out the boost guage to it's peak

Do they light up at night?

Do you get a reflection of the light on the windscreen?

Yep they light up the same colour as the dash, as mentioned they have quite a cool start up sequence :cool:

No reflection that I've noticed !
