Hi all,

I got into photography a few months back mainly motorsports and landscape.

I picked up a Sony A6000 with the Kit Lens and a Sony55-210mm F4.5-6.3 lens also.

Recently I had to get my mum a superzoom/bridge and opted for a Lumix DMC-FZ72.

Now for the price this camera is brilliant, I am wondering if I was to trade in/sell my A6000 and 2 lenses if opting for a similar camera would be good enough for motorsports?

My a6000 produces a clear picture, however I do struggle with getting sharp pictures in burst mode now that could be me or the camera I don't know. I am not saying that some don't come out sharp because roughly 40% do.

My other concern is the 210 lens doesn't quite go far enough but I have semi decided that buying lots and lots of lenses isn't going to be for me. But obviously willing to listen to opinions?

I use the same camera with the 55-210mm and two different primes. With your motorsport shots, are you sure your technique is ok and you are using a fast enough shutter speed combined with the right aperture? What settings do you apply in camera? 40% and I'd say something is wrong. I agree the 210 isn't far enough and I seem to notice a drop in quality over about 150mm. This is where you need to use cropping as best you can plus be in as close to your subject as possible. Make sure you're taking 24mp shots in 3:2 for cropping.
