Stick to OEM alloys or get some CSL reps?

I have a 40ft container being shipped over form Miami next week with some free space so I got to thinking that the tyres on my car are not going to last very long (they often smell of burning rubber when I get home) so I decided to throw a set of goodyear F1’s as they are so cheap there.

They cost 2000 dollars with a set of 19” CSL replica alloys with the F1’s, now I would love a set of real CSL’s however I can not find a set for sale and they seem to be quite expensive.

So is buying the replica alloys a bad idea? What size and offset is best? Gunmetal or mat black on a black car?

Here are the alloys I have now

New one would be one of these

335i is the one I would go for every day of the week :D

Very nice car mate ;)

We get a lot of snow around here so the 335xi would be better for the weekend ski trips as it has 4 wheel drive.

However I will probably just take the Kangoo when it arrives as the car really gets abused when we take it skiing. Imagine 4 half drunk, tried people who have been skiing / snowboarding all day trying to cram into the car with ski boots on.

Has it visited the autobahn yet?

yep had a 700km drive home after picking it up in dusseldorf on new years eve. sad to say I could not take it over 120 mph as I had the snow tyres on

Ahhh... :d well the 335i is gonna be a lot more fun to drive... RWD *** ;)

Your gonna have to take that onto the Autobahn in the summer for sure!

Yah it was a bit of a shock when the car went sideways around a corner because I just gave it just a little bit of power around the corner. The TT never did that lol

I have only ever had FWD before the TT

I own few different companies, we install both residential and commercial satellite systems, High-end (ish) home cinema systems and lots of plasma TV’s.

Im also a part owner of a construction company but it has not made us any money yet. I don’t actually make that much; however I am not burdened with ridiculous house prices so my mortgage is quite small and I don’t spend much going out because im working all day lol

But if lived in the US I would not be driving a 335, more like a 911 C4s / Turbo!

I installed a plasma tv in my living room the other day, it was very hard work, the TV weighed maybe 100lbs and I had to put it on a stud by guessing where they are.

Personally I think I did a good job, it even comes out of the wall and you can twist it around!

Wow nice house you have there. Installing a 50” screen is actually quite hard work, we install a lot of 2.1m satellite dishes which is even worse. Imagine trying to pull an 80kg satellite dish up to the top of a building (3 to 5 floors up) using a rope.
