Sticker on underside of CPU?

Hi, i recently recieved a CPU second hand e5200 but it seems to have a sticker on the underside of the CPU.

Looking around on online to try and find more info i found this thread here:

Now this label in this thread is in the exact same place on the chip i recieved and looks the same just the writing's near the same.

It doesn't seem that this is something Intel does so i'm confused of why its there.

Any ideas?

Never seen that before. Doesnt look like anything that would be stuck on my intel especially on the underside.

Id peel it off and if in doubt email intel.

Well i bought it from the MM, i tried it today all seems fine and the temps are good also. So it's not causing any issues... so for the moment i'm going to leave the sticker there.

TBH, I'd just leave it on since it's not over the contacts. More hassle taking it off than just leaving it.

leave it on to be honest, might do damage trying to remove it

Quite often sub distys or integrators put those on the bottom for tracking purposes.

Just take it off should not make a difference
