Sticker on underside of e2180, should i have removed it??

Hi, Ive just built a system using the E2180 core 2 duo chip and when I took it out of the box there was a sticker on the underside of it. I thought to remove it but im sure that it said do no remove. I was wondering if anyone else had seen the same sticker on the bottom and did you remove it? Im just a bit concerned that it will screw the system up if I leave it on there.

The processor is only reaching about 40oC max so i dont think it would have damaged it yet. What do u recon? Shall i take the heatsink/fan off and take the sticker off?

Thanks IAmATeaf, ill have a look when I get back. Has anyone else had a sticker on the bottom of their core 2 duo processor??
 
It was a retail chip (with heatsink and fan). Ill ask I think in the shop where i got it from
 
thats true actually, the box was broken when I came to install it which I thought was funny
 
Just had a mail back from where I got it, they said to leave it on as it shows that its from them if i need to replace it??!! Surly a recipt will do that, but anyway it sounds like its ok.
