Why do manufacturers insist on putting stickers on all their hardware? I mean this is just a silly place to put one, on my brand new DS3 I'm trying to install. I was careful to to rip it off but it still left a load of crap on the PCI slots. It's already writton the the box, why do I need a sticker saying "all-solid capacitor design" on my motherboard which I'm clearly going to have to remove to install a PCI card. I have to to try and clean thease up now.

(sorry about the poor quality, my D600 lacks macro)

Any suggestions on how I can go about removing the crap left behind? It's not even a smooth surface, it got loads of holes for the pins.

My sticker just came clean off when I wanted to remove it, didn't take any special care etc

Anyway just run something down the middle when there is no power obviously.

Use akasa TIm cleaner or other alcohol cleaner and a cotton bud
works wonders on that ds3 sticker had the same with mine.Just rub
the alcohol in and peel off comes off easy.It disolves the glue got all of mine
off within 1 minute after doing that.

Thanks, I had a bottle of Akasa TIM cleaner in the cupboard, worked a treat. Heard that WD40 does a similar job too.

As Barry Scott would say, good as new.
