Hi guys, as topic suggest running 2 GPUS, 580s to be exact, very close to each other, UD7 sucks for layout (gigabyte) so I am sticking a fan on the right side of my case, so the fan will be backing the back of the GPUS, am I to suck air out or blow air in? I have tried blowing air in, but it just seems to be blowing hot air in and doing nothing, as my cards are very hot.

You could try a fan behind the cards, blowing air into the rear of them, done this with my 470's.

Not the prettiest but it worked. I later swapped it out for an Antec spotcooler.

See your lucky, I don't have the luxury of placing a gab in-between my cards, and I don't really wanna fork out extra cash on a new motherboard : ( My 2 580s are sitting on top of each other.

Blowing air directly onto the cards from a side panel will simply create a torrent of hot air inside the case imo. When those beasts are running you've got 600watts of heat inside the case. You'd lower temps drastically by removing the side panel altogether, but for aesthetic reasons few people do this.

True, the gigabytes unfortunately feature pretty tight pcie slot spacing, but even without the fan behind my cards the top one would be running 10c higher than the bottom. With the fan mod they both idle at 31-30c, load at 66-64c in game using a custom fan profile.
