Hi,

Whenever I play Virtua Tennis on my PSP when I press down on the analogue stick it seems to get stuck andit keeps going down. This happens in game and in the menus.

I have tested in other games and the analogue stick does not get stuck.

Any idea what the problem is please?

Thanks,
Craig

Does sound like the stick is on its way out, it may not happen in other games but i'd find it very hard to believe that the software is somehow at fault, especially when i've had big problems with my analogue stick in the last 6 months.

Mine dislodged internally (not just in the case, but inside the actual stick unit), and i ended up taking the whole thing apart and fixing it which was surpirisngly easy with the right tools.

When you say sticking do you mean the player is sticking even when the stick reverts, or the actual stick is catching and not moving properly?

Its actually a bug with the coding... It happens on several games Virtua tennis being one and the collection with MKII & 3.... it doesnt do it on all PSP's though...

I get something similar on lots of games on the PSP but it's when I push to the right... can be damn annoying at times - Grrrr!!!

Sounds like your analogue stick is knackered, simple as that really.

Not really, surely it would do it in every other game if it was pure hardware problems?

When I press down the character will keep on running down until I press down again to stop it.

The actual stick itself is perfect, smooth, nothing 'crunchy' or sticky.

The impression I got from your OP was that you were saying the stick itself was sticking.

Ah no, it seems to be software sticking as it only happens in Virtua Tennis and doesn't physically stick :(
