Stikfas HDR and a dragons butt

Got my stikfas dragon the other day and snapped him in half So he's now superglued together at the hip which meant his poseability was a bit limit. Still I thought he would be a good subject to try some HDR on after reading the corsa tutorial

Can I ask why you've used HDR on one of the shots? I know its the vogue thing to do at the moment but it really isn't needed for this picture. It just makes the shot look really really weird.

The other three work really well, the contrast between the figure and the background gives a nice crisp outline of the character and the lighting is nice and soft.

I know it wasnt needed, I just wanted to have a go for practice purposes, im off to spain soon and want the technique down

The first and second reminded me of the front cover of Massive Attack's Mezzanine

Maybe I've got these on the brain a little too much at the minute.
