I updated from the Beta's to the official 8.9 and it messed up with some error.

I uninstalled the graphics drivers in device manager, booted into safe mode ran driver sweeper, deleted all ATI folders and removed it from the registry.

Rebooted, installed 8.9 CCC, rebooted and CCC isnt running, it doesnt want to know at all, like its not installed. The X2 is still 88C at idle.

Someone please tell me how to get it to install properly.

CCC doesnt even load from boot, its not there when I right click, its not in the start menu it hasnt installed, I ran the CCC installer the one without the drivers and still nothing.

Uninstall the whole thing and just use the driver only, don't get ccc and use ati tray tools 1.5.8 1264 it's far superior

Tray tools doesnt want to install properly either :(

The problem could be with the signed driver requirement in Vista x64. Had that problem when trying to install ATT and I found a way to disable this with a clever little app called ReadyDriver Plus that plays around with the bootloader. Adds a few seconds to the boot time, but it's absolutely worth it.

I had a similar problem with the 8.8s, try going into device manager and do an update driver from there by right clicking on one one of the instances of the card and going through the install process by finding the uncompress ATI folder in C:

This worked for me.

Had a problem with the driver not installing properly - while the ccc would install - but the ccc wouldnt start up on boot if the driver wasnt present. Check the log after the install to check whether the driver installed successfully...
