I've been trying for around two weeks to get windows7 installed again.
Today I bought a new HDD and installed windows7 as per video on youtube.
It made two partitions 100mb and 900+gb.
I didn't format the partitions as I believe it does it automatically.
Windows installed without issues, at this point I wanted to make an image.
I booted into XP (installed on a second drive) and ran Acronis but it won't make an image it says the partition is in use and the same for Marcium reflect although that used an alternative method.
Usually the size is around 10gb but that image was around 4gb.
Usually method of installing is to ust run partition magic in XP to make three or four 250gb partitions and then install W7 in the first one, there is no system partition.
I can usually make an image without issues doing it this way but lately I've been having issues so I tried the the previous method.
I'm not sure what to do at this point, any ideas.
Cheers Sel.
