still need a floppy

looks like I am going to have to build a total new setup as my AGP card is borked

I will probably go for one of the Q6600 bundles but I am concerned as to whether the latest mobo's still have a floppy socket as I need a floppydrive temporarily as my early version of WinXP needs sata drivers on a floppy during install as it doesn't have SP2 incorporated

Another question: is it possible to simply reinstall windows without a reformat
when a new mobo is installed so it will overwrite the old drivers ?

not having a floppy port is very much the exception rather than the rule.

You can try a repair install.
