Just been told about "So Broadband". Basically they are wireless company expanding their range in the south east. I can get upto 3mb with these guys.

At last no more slow internet! :)

Im connected with them at the moment, and am now moving back to ADSL. They have given me nothing but problems since i went live in March, nothing but disconnections, packetloss, and ive never seen over 1mbit! I thought i would give them a go as i liked the idea of not having to pay BT but i now regret it.

It may well be different for you, but my experience has not been great!

still though, i bet its better than having a 56k line.

I used to hate 56k with a passion!! I hate using it on my laptop when im traveling. Thank god for wi-fi in hotels :D

Actually it seems I could be stuck on 56k for a few years. Our area needs another 30 people before they take any more subscribers lol. :(

Where abouts are you based?

www.bt.com are now offering a satellite BB service, it's dear but better than nothing I should think. You have to click into their business customers BB area to find it.

I'm sure there are a load of people in the same boat as you, get out and canvas some opinions from the neighbours and drum up some interest.

Update. Got a call from them today and I am booked for an install next week of their 3 MEG service ! :D

Just hope its a good solid service with nice download speeds. :)

Edit: looking on adsl forums most people seem pleased with the service. Over 360k's on 3mb and nice 20ms+- pings.

Well I have been on the sobroadband wireless 3meg service for a few days now and I am impressed.

Download speeds are about 395k's which for 3meg is good and I get no disconnects or slow downloads etc.

Very happy! :D

Nice one bet it feels like nothing on earth, i remember when i got off isdn onto 1 meg adsl few years back was amazing.

That speed is good for 3 meg i am currently getting 3 meg on dsl max and only hit around 350kbs mark.
