Bought a really good stepping e6300 that can do 3.3Ghz on 1.35v (the guys ram then held him back from going any higher)

Going to buy a DS3 board from OcUK but still undecided on the memory.

I'm either going to go for the -

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) at £166

Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Tenth Anniversary Dual Channel Kit (TY2KIT12864AA663) at £199

I know the crucial are better but by how much? What speeds am I likely to get out of both?

You will be lucky to get much more than 900Mhz out of the Geil.

Whereas the Crucial should do over 1000Mhz.

And with an e6300 that's the difference between 3.2Ghz and 3.5Ghz.

Went for the 10th Anniversary in the end :D

Hopefully it should all arrive tomorrow, only problem is I've had to go for the Artic Cooler rather than a Tuniq Tower as I dont think it will fit in my case, will have to see how I get on with it and then maybe look for a better solution.

I have used both the Artic Cooler & the Tuniq Tower, for me the tower is by far the better cooler, but it al depends on how far your OCing.

Nice RAM by the way

Will hopefully be pushing it pretty far, I know it does 3.3Ghz on 1.35v so it's going to be the memory/cooling/board that holds me back!

If the AC isn't really upto it I'll look into something else...
