Stirling Moss seriously injured in lift accident

The poor guy's not been walking well since a scooter accident a few years back so breaking both ankles and damaging his back is not good news, especially at 80 years old.

Here's wishing him a speedy recovery.

What a terrible accident, falling down a lift shaft from the third floor. It's surprising that we wasn't more seriously injured. I hope he makes a swift recovery.

The way it was described on Radio 2 earlier, the lift doors are supposed to lock when the lift isn't at that floor. They opened, so Sir Stirling walked straight through assuming that all was well (force of habit). Unfortunately, the lift car wasn't there and he fell.

Williams made the lift car from carbon fibre at Stirlings request. They had nothing to do with the mechanical or software side.
