Hi,

I am relatively new to 3D printing, and I am looking for some help if possible. I am sorry if posting other websites is not allowed, please let me know and I can/will remove them.

I get the majority of my STL prints from websites like printables dot com (other websites are available). I then use a slicer website AstroPrint dot com (other websites are available) to slice into gcode.

However some of the prints, I would like to modify, like putting info onto a dog tag. But I have no idea where to start with this. My biggest issue though, is that I do not have a computer/laptop. So everything I do, is done on my phone (android). Does anyone have any suggestions I could try.

tinkercad tbh.
I did try this website, however it's not the best on smartphones. I think I've managed to copy a link of what I am trying to work on. However I have no idea of how to change it.

My dog's name is not Max, and that is not my phone number. I am looking to modify it to my dog's name, and my number.

you can't share files like that in tinkercad.
You'll need to fill in anything that's embossed, or remove anything raised then create your own - prusaslicer has a text thing.

No worries, thanks for the info.

It looks like PrusaSlicer has to be downloaded onto a computer/laptop. I might need to invest in a cheap laptop for things like this. It's a shame that these companies haven't thought about this market.

I would suggest that picking up a second hand laptop or PC for super cheap would be a better starting point than getting a 3d printer. you'll need one to do most things with 3d printing.
