Stock 13900K boosting to 8ghz?!

Just built a new system, i9 13900k ( had 9900k before ) with an Asrock Z790 Pro and 64gb corsair 5600 ram. Its wicked fast but one of my Pcores ( pcore #5 ) is boosting to 8.1Ghz ? Ive a HWMonitor grab but it says this file cannot be used when i try to upload it. Its .jpg Anyone else with a 13900K noticed this activity?

Unless your feet are feeling really cold, I'd imagine this is a bug.

I do use HWinfo, it reports the same - when it boosts to 8ghz it stays there for about 60 seconds then back to 5.5. for about 60 secs & back to 8, power draw goes from 249watts to 268watts

That’s a bug, unless your using LN your chip isn’t boosting to 8ghz

Update the BIOS of the motherboard? Perhaps its an error in the code of the MB.

Though be warned there is a risk with a BIOS revision. A small one.
