Hi guys just put my new build together. I think the 1st time i sat the cooler on
It didnt feel right.
Anyways its all on and plugged i hope lol.
And my temps on stock cooler and no overclock at all is about 40c
Ranging im wondering is that normal
 
Thats the thing havent managed to yet. How long do u think i should run it for?
What temps are safe?
Must admit bit surprised if 40-45c is normal stock temp on ivy bridge
Im very dissapointed
 
Yes, and I'd still be concerned. I personally wouldn't use stock Intel cooling at all.

My post was more to point out to the OP the sort of temperatures he should be getting with the stock cooler.
 
Ok guys so im guessing around 40c is bout normal stock. Am gona run prime in bout an hour wen im home and will post results.

right guys i have just had it running on maximum heat choice on prime 95.
been running for 16mins and maximum it reached was 75c.
do u reckon thats fine on stock cooling?
