stock control for small supply

looking for inexpensive software to manage a supply business of about 500 products. stock control, invoicing etc

what's a good one?

Sorry to not have some helpfull infomation here - but i'm unsure you'll find much 'inexpensively'. What sort of price were you looking at? Good luck with your hunt, I made a VB/Access program to do this for my mum's shop.

was looking at £200 or lower. Was thinking that if I could get one bought, it would save loads of time setting up and debugging.

am having a look at imagic inventory at the moment. Might do everything.

Filemaker is £219 which is very close to your budget. I run my business with that bit of kit, projects, to do lists, invoices and document management. Works a treat.

You could try OpenOffice Base, which is free.
