Hello!
Hi everyone, this is my first post here so apologies if im not in the right place and such.
I've never overclocked anything before and have recently bought a second hand Core 2 Duo E4300 to try a moderate OC. I was hoping someone could tell me if the stock cooler that came with the cpu is complete as i have seen some with brackets on the bottom and others with round copper pieces. I have included an image of the heatsink, can I just use it as it is (with some thermal compound of course) or is something missing?
I know I should get a better cooler for OC'ing but want to try my hand with this first. Thanks and I hope you can help :)

Looks fine.

If it was brand new I'd expect some thermal paste to be pre-applied, but as it's second hand it's reasonable to assume the original owner used the stock heatsink, removed it for sale and cleaned it up.

Good luck with the overclocking. :)
