Hi All.

Recently got my system setup and running. I have the following

Intel Xeon 3070 2.66 Conroe
DS4
Geil 2x 1GB 4-4-4-12
2x 250GB WD Drives (RAID 1)
2x 160GB WD Drives (RAID 0)
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7

Anyway....

i've just upped my RAM voltage to 0.35 to get the maximum effect, loaded up CPU-Z to check out my figures....and it says:

CPU = 1600MHz (surely it should be 2600MHz at least?!)
RAM = 5-5-5-18

is this right? surely if its all at stock with only the RAM voltage upped it should be 2600MHz and 4-4-4-12?

Any ideas?

I've even made sure that i bought 4-4-4-12 instead of the cheaper 5-5-5-18 RAM.

I've got the 2x512 version and my timings were detected at 5-5-5-18 as well, I had to manually set them to 4-4-4-12, make sure voltage is at 2.1 at least first though!

as stated in the original post, my RAM is already upped to +.35, taking it to 2.15v.

my geil ram says the same thing as well, no idea how to go about sorting it tho

You have the power saving/throttling turned on in the bios hence the x6 1600MHz.

3. In the Advanced Bios Features Menu, Disable all of the following: CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E), CPU Thermal Monitor 2(TM2), CPU EIST Function

The memory needs to be set in a 'hidden' bios screen. Press the control & F1 key on the main bios page before entering and changing the memory speeds in the M.I.T. page.

Both things covered in the forums already. Use the seach and also give the DS3/DS5/DQ6 sticky a read.
