Stock x2 4400+ heatsync an cooler

just today i replaced my standard cpu cooler for a 120mm fan with 80-120mm fan adapater. Now i was surprised to see that the stock cooler blows onto the heatsync? Now I was led to believe that they sucked the hot air away from the cpu? Would it work better if I was to reverse the air flow of my Cpu cooling fan?? What does yours do? Blow or suck?? oooh er...

i have alwas thought that the cpu fans blow cool air onto the fins, and the hot air will be pushed away. But do correct me if i am wrong here. i have had coolermaster coolers and stock amd ones and all blew.

All of the ones I owned blew onto.

Normally they blow down onto the CPU, but what's best is generally dependent on case air flow. The only real way to find out is to test it both ways.
