So, this really annoys me. I place an order with OCUK on Saturday. I receive a order confirmation. Come today at 3pm I'm thinking I have not had any notification of shipping or any other contact from OCUK so I call them up to find out what's going on.

I'm advised the product I ordered is out of stock (it wasn't out of stock on the website when I ordered) and the person informs me I used the new website and this is "slow" to update stock and that all these orders are processed manually.

This is annoying as OCUK has already taken the funds and didn't give me any information until I called them and they have no ETA when the product will be back in stock.

So now I have to wait 3 to 5 days to get the funds back and don't have the product I was after, its not like I'm made of £ and can[t go order another one from another supplier until I get the funds back.

This seems like really poor communication from OCUK, and how the hell do you not have an automated out of stock notification go out so you and get the funds back prior to it being taken?

I'm sorry but I can't use OCUK for anything until this kind of thing is sorted and your stock notifications WORK
 
Talk about poor planning with the new site. Grab a credit card and make your purchase elsewhere, though many of these big shops offer interest free credit anyway, should keep you covered till the refund comes through.
 
I thought the new site was supposed to update stock faster or atleast that's what they said after the GPU fiasco.
 
The funds still show pending from my bank account so I guess I may get it back sooner then 3 to 5 days but who knows? Lack of communication and a poor backend implementation of stock in my opinion.

It's only the customer that suffers here, its no skin of OCUK's nose is it.
