"stolen recovered"

If i was to buy a car or motorbike that is quoted as "stolen recovered" would i encounter any problems that i would not if it was "normal"?

Lower resale value, much harder to sell on.

would the vehicle always be registered as stolen recovered then?
Does it in anyway affect insurance etc.

Was just thinking that it might be a cheap way of getting myself back on the road with a decent motorbike.

It will be, just the resale value will be lower. If the price you buy it at is also lower, it's fine, just don't pay too much for it
