Noticed these small what looks like stone chips on my car the other day. There's a very slight indentation around them...

Is it worth doing anything about them? Is there a danger of rust.

Just fill them with a touch up kit. Mines covered in then and scratches some huge one where someone married my car years ago. I don't really care that they stand out, the important bit is getting them protected.

Probably need a new panel, I'd advise emailing your local Smart dealer to ask them for a cost and parts availability.
I know you are only taking the **** but even if I did need a new panel it wouldn't really be feasible as the chips are on the Tridion safety shell as pictured...

Anyway they look much smaller in real life. I'm sure a SMART repairer would be able to do something with them but not really worth it unless there's a real risk of rust in the near future.

I look forward to the ending of this adventure where a whole new car is purchased to resolve this issue.

I doubt it, we're going to see about 15 threads about how to remove scratches, he'll spend upwards of a grand and then still end up replacing the chassis only, while questioning every single nut and bolt used in the process :p

have you tried Chipex? always looked good but the couple of times I've tried it it was absolutely rubbish

Not personally. I have a few stone chips to sort myself so I was looking into them recently, from the few YouTube videos I watched it looked good. But I suppose real life maybe a different thing and requires a steady hand.

You could use a touch up kit like Chipex, never tried it but heard good things about it. Depending on the manufacturer, sometimes you can get a touch up pen from the main dealer

So now you're trying to convince us that you don't need to do anything about your stone chip, based on how a Pizza delivery company treat their delivery vehicles (that likely have a limited life span before they are replaced with newer models)?

Either get a touch up pen, or don't, but please move on with your life and not dwell on such insignificant things - it's not healthy

Some touchup paint and forget about it. You'll never have pristine paintwork if you actually use the car. At least the UK isn't like France, where everything has dents in it.

Give up being precious about paintwork unless it's a show car. My Elise has stone chips all over the place because the paint is about 1 Planck unit thick, it's pointless trying to fix/protect them all.

Dominos opened here in August 2017. I guess they bought their fleet of Smart cars new in 2017. Probably bought them because they have decent fuel economy and you don’t need anything big to deliver pizzas, they are still using them today. Their drivers must be animals.

As far as I know they’ve only got two Smart cars and another decked out in Dominos livery which I think is a Ford.
