Stop Beeping!!

If it's any consolation, I've set up an intel board with corsair RAM and after a few weeks I had beeping with the RAM. I thought it was one stick at first, then after a BIOS update all the problems have number came back (touch wood).

Additionally when you say moving the RAM to another PC and getting beeps, you may want to check whether it is one or both sticks. Possibly the RAM is not on the HCL of the mobo manufacturer.

Well i just took my RAM back over and updated the BIOS to the latest. Crossed my fingers as it rebooted (BIOS update virgin) and it loaded straight back into windows without a problem.

Shut the PC down. Removed my Geil and put her Corsair back in..... Beep beep beep beep beep. The only thing now is that the beeps are much shorter. I thought the original beeps were short but i guess not. Cleared the CMOS just in case. Beep beep beep. :(

I then removed the Corsair and put my Geil back in one last time. Booted fine.

Some Kingston DDR2 800Mhz that OcUK sell is on the supported RAM list for the motherboard so she's going to pick some up tomorrow. Hope it cures the problem. This PC has been driving me nuts for far too long. :D
