Stop FireFox upgrading from 7 to 8.

What it is, my FF 8 was crashing, so I went back to version 7, but it will automatically upgrade to version 8. Is there any way to stop this. Thanks in advance.

Firefox menu -> Options -> Options -> Advanced -> Update -> Check "Ask me what I want to do"

I would backup your Firefox folder, and see if FF8 will work from a clean installation. It could be something to do with your existing plugins or settings that is making it crash.

Na, it was a upgrade from version 7 to version 8, and I was getting this, so I went back to version 7.

yep my ff8 crashing all the time since upgraded. rolled back to 7 all good now

You guys should try the beta channel, Firefox 9 Beta 1. See if you suffer the same crashes.
