ok i have my new C2D rig here sitting in boxes but i dont have my 8800GTS, DVD-RW, 2 x 250Gb HDD or Vista yet but.....

i have 2 74Gb Raptors ( going in new rig ) PSU ( going in new rig ) and my 7800GTX ( sold with old rig ) in this AMD X2 3800

a little voice keeps telling me to rip this rig open and build my new one right now and not bother waiting for the rest of the gear to show up as that can go in when it arrives and just have XP for a few weeks until Vista shows up

then i've got another voice saying might as well wait till its all here

so what would you do ??

Build it now and run xp, slap in the new kit when it arrives, find your best overclock with XP and when Vista shows up do a reformat and have a sparkly new top of the range system.

Doesn't matter if you kill your XP install when messing around finding a good clock too, as you'll be putting Vista on it anyway.

well you might wait and find something is dead on arrival
and be gutted you didnt test b4 all the rest of the stuff arrived and have to wait a further couple of weeks for replacements

so id say check everything is working now!

but its nice to wait!
