I have an MSI PRO DP20Z 5M Mini PC setup (Ryzen 5600G/16GB DDR4) which i use for light games and as a Plex server, with a powered external HDD for the media. This is running Windows 11 (with latest updates)

I stream Plex content on my home network to other devices (iPad/Mobile/Xbox/Apple TV, etc). I also have it setup so I can access the media over the network via my main desktop PC. Up until recently this worked fine, and I had the Plex PC setup to go into sleep after no activity for 30mins. If I wanted to watch Plex content, then I would open the Plex app on iPad or Apple TV , etc and after a shortdelay the Mini PC would power up and the Plex library would be available, so all good.

However, now if I have the Mini set to go into sleep after a period of time, my Plex clients do not wake the PC from sleep. I also have the PC going to sleep while streaming content on a Plex client which is a real pain in the ar@e

I know many people may say, well just leave the PC on all the time as that is the point of a server, but I don't see the point of having the machine fuller powered up if im not currently using it, surely better to save a little bit of power......especially as it worked before!

I had a google on wake up on LAN settings in Win 11 and went into the network settings to make sure the magic packet to wake the computer, but still does not allow me to wake via Plex Client if the PC has gone to sleep.

What am I doing wrong?? (I'm not hugely knowledgable on Plex/Network settings so sure it's something really dumb!) The only thing that has recently changed is the recent windows updates. I have changed nothing in Plex settings. The only thing I have done is moved the PC to another room but this would not cause this.

I would'nt mind if it had never worked but this had been working fine before so i'm a bit confused. Is the issue a Plex one or Windows 11?

Thanks for any help!
