im wondering is there anyway using ultra mon or any other software that stops my mouse from gonig to the second screen if i move it that way and makes it so that only way to switch between screens is by pressing a button like say push the scroll wheel down?

Just tried with ultramon. There is a function to do a user defineable hotkey to move the cursor from one monitor to the other, but there doesn't appear to be anything to stop you moving the mouse back and forth between the two with just movement being involved. Why is it such a problem? (just curious)

Edit, just found you can do a combination of hotkeys. There is an option to lock the mouse to the primary monitor, but you then have to switch it off to get it on to the second monitor either by movement or using the hotkey above

Double edit: meant to add this to the above post

forgot i made this thread, ended up making another im gaming section, silly me :p

the reason i want the mouse locked to one monitor is mainly for gaming, hate having to disable the second screen when in game as the mouse keeps going to the second monitor and if i click it exits the game.

i tried what you suggested which kind of worked but some reason when locking the mouse to one screen it could still just get to the second and if clicked would switch to whatever is running on second screen.

also i then can't swtich monitor with the screen lock on even by pressing the hotkey so kind of just as much difficulty as disabling second screen as i'd have to disable the screen lock.

Try flipping the order of the screens in Display properties IE instead of screens laid out like 1 2, change screen 2 to be on the left, IE : 2 1.
