Hey guys,

So today and last night I noticed that when I put my Mac to sleep, , when I use a connected device (iPhone or iPad) the computer wakes, and then after I stop use, several seconds later the computer goes back to sleep?

I know this because when put to sleep my RGB light on the G403 mouse goes out, then when using the Apple items, the light comes on and then off again after use has stopped on the other devices?

If you go to system preferences>Bluetooth.

Click advanced and you should be able to deselect “Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer”.

See if that fixes it.

thanks Captain, one problem though, it means I cannot wake the Mac from sleep with my keyboard or mouse then?

Ah sorry I hadn’t thought of that, when you go to preferences and advanced, can you see your iPhone and iPad?

I can't see the advanced tab in system preferences??

In general, at the bottom it says enable handoff, if I deselect that (as I don't use handoff anyway) will that stop the connection between the computer and the devices?

Sorry system preferences>Bluetooth then advanced.

It should do in theory as you’re not using it anyway.

I’ve just been reading the Apple forum as there’s a few issues like yours, officially the only way to resolve the issue is to disconnect your phone and iPad from the Mac every time, I’ve also seen people saying AirPods wake up their Mac too just by opening the lid.

Try disabling handoff and see if that works.

think that has resolved it.

I put the mini to sleep, went away came back, opened safari on my iPhone and the mouse light stayed out, so I pressed a key on the keyboard and the light came on and it woke-up flawlessly.
