stop pointless windows action centre notifications

i'm pretty good with computers but this has me trumped. it feels like i'm forever getting pointless notifications in my windows 10 action centre over the 3 windows devices i have.

today i notice the action centre icon is filled in white telling me there is a notification, so i go and click and find it's a notifications from windows saying "how likely am i to recommend windows 10"

how do i stop this ****?

i don't care to get these, nor the notifications about how windows is now up to date and the rest.

i've checked the settings but no idea where the setting to turn off 'Annoying as **** pointless windows notifications'.

It's ''turn system icons on or off'' you're looking for.

you can right click notifications and choose "no longer show".

how odd. the replies never came up in my control panel.

i have changed a few things and will see if any pop up. i don't want action centre gone all together, just the "we just updated your device" ones.

so it's still not sorted. i've got a notification right now from windows defender. i right clikc and the "no longer show" is black out and can't be clicked. I go to notification settings and nothing is there for this app.

For defender you need to go to settings -> update & security -> windows defender and turn off enhanced notifications. For feedback you need to go settings -> privacy -> feedback & diagnostics -> and set the feedback setting to never.

thanks for that. what a silly way to have notifications stored. will report back if any more sneak through
