have done a search for this but can't get any useful help

the g/f has a smart car which has an ipod slot so when we listen ot music thats what we use.

every now and again she will forget to bring her ipod so will listen to the radio, the annoying thing with this is that then it will keep automatically turning up the volume and changing to radio traffic reports when using the ipod again

when this happens i will have a play and sometimes get it to stop but atm after 2 weeks of trying i have given up and decided to find out how to stop the thing from happening once and for all

so anyone know how to stop a smart car radio, or atleast any radio (may be similiar method) to stop auto switching to traffic reportS?

It will be a button that either says TP or TA (Traffic Protocol, Or Traffic Announcement). Somewhere on the radio display will be the letters TA/TP, which should come and go as the button is pushed, it may need to be held.

Some radios have [TP] where pushing the button just leaves [ ] , and holding it removes all. One No letters means the auto traffic announcment is off, no brackets totally shuts off the TA/TP protocol mode(and by memory does something else i cant remember). Or at least this is how its worked on most cars ive fiddled with.

Hope it helps:)

is it not the in the operation instructions?
if it's a stock radio, it should be in the glove box with everything else ;p
