Stop windows 7 installing default nvidia driver?

Does anyone know a way of preventing windows 7 from installing the default nvidia WDDM driver? Or should I just install any new drivers over the top?

Everytime I uninstall the driver windows 7 reinstalls it on restart. There doesn't seem to be a way of turning this off.

just install over the top
i say its not needed to clean install nvidia drivers anymore, yes you had to do it years ago as they were very iffy about 3-4 years or more ago, but i havent done that in years and havent see any difference installing over the top
to many guys get stuck doing what they were told you have to do, when its years out of date really

Thanks mate, I thought that might be the case. Hangover from a time when installing over the top could lead to serious problems

no doubt someone will come on say you have too or its best too lol
but i never do with any driver and have not run in to any problems in years
last time i had a problem was back in the days of DX 3-4 when files wouldnt get updated
