Stop Windows Malicious Software Tool nagging me to install in Windows Update?

Using Windows 8.1, every time I boot up Windows Update says there is 1 important update to install - Windows Malicious Software Tool. Not interested in installing it, is there anyway to stop it nagging me to install it? I used to just right click and 'Hide Update' which would stop it reminding me for a while but laterly this doesn't seem to work.

It's just a run-once thing as far as I know; when it runs at the time of the update it checks for malware and then that's it until the next time.

MSRT will auto-run after every patch Tuesday. Let it do its thing.

So does it not install and run as a background application 24/7?

No, it runs once after install, then is replaced by another which does the same next month and so on
