Stop Windows update on low bandwidth

Hi all. Can anyone tell me whether there is a way to prevent Windows update from downloading updates when you are on a low bandwidth network? I only want updates to download when I have my laptop on the LAN and not when using GPRS.

Using Win XP Pro btw.

Any help would be appreciated!

By turning it off and only manually downloading updates when needed.


Right Click My Computer > Properties > Windows Update > Disable.
