Stop Xbox wireless headset turning on Xbox

Hello

Is there anyway to stop my Xbox wireless headset from turning on my Xbox? It seems ridiculous that this feature from what I can see cannot be turned off, it literally limits the use of the headset to Xbox only.

I would like to use the headset for a number of other things, work and teams calls, music etc but Everytime I switch them on it turns the Xbox on which is in a cupboard and gets hot if I don't open the door.

If this can't be done I might consider selling them and getting something more suitable for my needs which is a shame because they are great for gaming on the xbox

I suspect it's a limitation of the wireless protocol being used, but that might be wrong.

Yeah sorry I should have said I have read into it and can't find anything that states that you can do it but it's so absurd that I was hoping I've missed something somewhere

I don't think it can be stopped, I looked at it ages ago as have the same thing with my razer nari headset.

Pretty sure this is hard baked into Xbox headsets because they use the same wireless connectivity standard as pads. I suppose the only way to stop it is to turn the Xbox off at the wall, which is a bit ridiculous. Or buy a 2nd non-Xbox headset for PC use, which is equally ridiculous.

Does seem like a laughable limitation in this day and age. Guess you could always go the cabled headset route but it’s not a great solution.
