Hey guys just wandering in Windows XP where can I find the option to turn off certain programs upon system start up?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section!

Thanks.

Yes that's because you've selected alternate startup options. The only time I've ever used normal startup mode is on a fresh install before installing anything extra. I always disable programs that insist on starting with windows that I don't use all the time.

Can you not click "Do not show me this message again?" You shouldn't be getting that message EVERYTIME you startup, just once after editing your startup options...

Iirc that doesn't always work unfortunately.

OP: Other options include:
1) Removing the program from the "Startup" folder, if its in there.
2) Checking if there is an option within the program itself, to not launch when Windows starts.
3) Un-installing, if you can live without it... ;)
